Website audits for small businesses
Your website should bring you customers. Not lose them.
LeadLeak Audits identifies website issues that can make it harder for potential customers to contact your business, understand your services, or take the next step.
What we look for
Nineteen checks, in plain English.
Each check looks at something a visitor, or a search engine, can see on your homepage. Every finding in a report comes with what we saw on your page, why it matters, and what to change.
Can customers reach you?
- Tap-to-call phone linkWhether your phone number is a real call link, so a phone user can tap it, rather than plain text they have to retype.
- Phone number visibleWhether a phone number appears in the text of the page. If it only appears inside an image, or is added by scripts, we say we could not verify it instead of guessing.
- A clear next stepWhether the page has a contact form, wording such as "get a free quote" or "call now", or a visible phone number.
- Address or mapWhether the page shows an Ohio street address or links to a map.
- Links that workWe follow up to 12 of the links on your homepage that point to your own site, one at a time and at a gentle pace, and report any that land on an error page. Links that block automated visitors are left out rather than guessed at.
Does it work on a phone?
- Mobile viewport settingWhether the page tells phones how to fit the screen. Without it, phones may show a shrunken desktop layout. This is a setting check, not a full mobile usability test.
- Basic load checkHow quickly the homepage responds and how large it is, measured when we run the audit. A rough indicator, not a full performance test.
Can people and Google tell what you do, and where?
- Allowed in search resultsWhether the page carries a "noindex" instruction that tells Google to leave it out.
- Page titleWhether the title is a sensible length (25 to 65 characters). Very long titles are cut off in search results; very short ones say too little.
- Search descriptionWhether a description exists and is a reasonable length (70 to 165 characters).
- Main headlineWhether the page has exactly one main headline.
- Your town namedWhether your town appears in the title, main headline or search description, when we know the town.
- Local business dataWhether the page includes structured data that search engines can read about your business.
Trust and basics
- Secure connectionWhether the site loads over HTTPS.
- Insecure files on a secure pageWhether the page loads images, scripts or styles over plain http, which browsers may block. We read this from the page source.
- Reviews or trust wordingWhether the page text mentions reviews, testimonials or similar. We cannot judge whether they are genuine or good.
- Image descriptionsHow many images lack alt text, which helps accessibility and image search.
- Share previewWhether links to your site show a preview on Facebook or in text messages.
- Footer yearWhether the copyright year in the footer looks current.
What an audit does not do
- It reviews one page, your public homepage, plus a link test of up to 12 of its own links. It does not review your whole website.
- It does not fill in or submit your contact form, so it cannot tell you whether form messages reach you. It does not test how the page looks on a phone, only whether the mobile setting is present.
- The checks are automated rules. They can miss things or flag something that is intentional, especially on pages that build their content with scripts. Where we cannot tell, the report says so.
- It does not measure search rankings, website traffic, advertising, or your Google Business Profile.
- It does not promise more calls, leads or sales.
How it works
Three steps, nothing to install.
-
We examine your website
We look at your publicly accessible business website. We do not need a login, and we do not change anything on your site.
-
You receive a report
A structured report of the findings our checks support: a score out of 100, each issue ranked by priority, with what we found, why it matters, and a recommended fix.
-
You decide what to improve
Use the findings to choose what to change, on your own or with whoever looks after your website.
A realistic expectation. An automated audit points out issues that are worth looking at. It is not a guarantee of additional leads, sales or search rankings, and fixing every item will not necessarily change your results.
Pricing
Two options, one-time prices.
Prices are in US dollars. The two reports are one-time purchases. Neither is a subscription.
